Director of AI Research

About This Role

We're seeking a Director of AI Research to lead our machine learning and AI initiatives at an AI-first recruiting platform transforming how enterprises identify and engage talent. In this role, you'll architect cutting-edge AI/ML models for candidate matching, skill extraction, and predictive hiring analytics while building and scaling a high-impact research team. You'll drive research direction, publish findings, and ensure our platform delivers state-of-the-art AI capabilities that set us apart in the B2B SaaS recruiting space.

Requirements

• Lead and mentor a team of 5+ ML researchers and engineers with vision-setting and strategic direction
• Design and implement advanced NLP and deep learning models for talent matching and candidate intelligence
• Demonstrate 10+ years of machine learning experience with at least 3+ years in research or technical leadership
• Publish peer-reviewed research or contribute to open-source AI projects showing thought leadership
• Architect scalable ML systems with experience deploying models to production at scale
• Build cross-functional partnerships with product and engineering to translate research into customer value
• Stay current with cutting-edge AI research (LLMs, transformers, prompt engineering) and evaluate adoption opportunities
