Perception Engineer
About This Role
We're seeking a Perception Engineer to join our AI-first recruiting platform at a critical growth stage. In this role, you'll design and optimize computer vision and multimodal AI systems that power candidate assessment and matching capabilities. You'll work on perception pipelines that process video, images, and behavioral signals to extract meaningful insights, directly impacting how recruiters identify top talent at scale. As a Perception Engineer, you'll own the full lifecycle of perception models—from problem definition and data pipeline architecture to model training, evaluation, and production deployment. You'll collaborate with ML engineers, product managers, and recruiting domain experts to translate business requirements into robust, scalable perception systems. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll drive innovation in AI-powered talent assessment.
Requirements
- Demonstrate 3+ years of professional experience in computer vision, perception, or deep learning engineering
- Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) for model development and experimentation
- Strong understanding of CNN architectures, object detection, segmentation, or video understanding techniques
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines for training and evaluation of perception models at scale
- Ability to design experiments, evaluate model performance rigorously, and debug complex ML systems
- Familiarity with production ML deployment, containerization (Docker), and monitoring in cloud environments
- Comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-ML stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally
