Staff Machine Learning Engineer

About This Role

We're seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead ML architecture and implementation across our AI-first recruiting platform. You'll design and deploy scalable machine learning systems that power intelligent candidate matching, skill assessment, and hiring automation for enterprise clients. This is a high-impact role where you'll influence product direction, mentor engineers, and drive technical excellence in a remote-first, growth-stage SaaS environment.

Requirements

• Lead design and development of ML models and pipelines in production environments
• Develop expertise in NLP, embeddings, or ranking systems for talent/recruiting domain
• Architect scalable ML infrastructure and establish MLOps best practices
• Mentor junior ML engineers and conduct technical code reviews
• Collaborate with product and data teams to define ML requirements and success metrics
• Optimize model performance for latency, accuracy, and cost in real-time systems
• Own end-to-end ML projects from experimentation through production monitoring
